Delyla is fueled by the creativity of Josephine De Bono, a Montrealer who has been innovating with knit fabrics since the mid 1990s.
Delyla is located in the heart of the Mile End district of Montréal, a neighbourhood renowned as a historic epicentre of fashion and art. It was in these dynamic surroundings that Josephine got her start in the textile world. She worked alongside her father who was a pioneering manufacturer of surface-textured knits and specialised in jacquard velour, sherpa and terry.
The thread of fashion and textile ran from father to daughter and Josephine developed her own line of exclusive knits. Using only responsibly sourced yarns, she built upon her family's expertise and experience with Montréal's textile industry and its people.
In 2002, Josephine established Delyla as an independent company specialising in custom knit fabrics made from organic cotton, bamboo-viscose, hemp and recycled polyester. Our goal at Delyla is to bring environmentally respectful knits into the mainstream while promoting a transparent supply chain of local manufacturers.
We are committed to attaining the highest global standards so that choosing our sustainable fabrics is the only choice when sourcing exceptional quality knits.
